1C Cloud – Rent 1C via the Internet – Official Service "ServiceCloud"

At my previous job, I used the standard version of 1C, and in my current company, we rent the cloud version of this program. Essentially, it's the same system, and functionally they don't differ, as various configurations can be connected. The only difference is in the way it's provided. The regular 1C is installed on a computer, and all data is saved on the hard drive. In the cloud version, data is stored on secure servers and accessed remotely. In fact, this is more secure, despite any doubts. Previously, when there were issues with my PC, I couldn't send reports on time. Now, the program isn't tied to my computer, so I can send reports from any device if problems arise. There's no need to worry about it being an unlicensed version – it's a 100% licensed version from 1C, and there won't be any fines for using it. As for the cost, it depends on the size of the company and planned expenses. Renting may seem expensive, but you also have to pay for a regular license, not to mention the costs for servers. The only downside I see is the need for a constant internet connection. Without it, the program won't work. Also, those with large databases in 1C will need to purchase additional space, as it is limited.

1C Cloud is not an ideal solution; it has its drawbacks. First of all, a reliable internet connection is essential. This affects not only the ability to use the program but also its speed. It's a good idea to have a USB modem or mobile internet on hand for unforeseen circumstances. The speed of operation compared to the local version is higher, as the provider has quality equipment installed on their servers, while many companies cut costs on this, leading to system freezes. However, if you skimp on the internet connection, the difference in quality disappears. Secondly, no one can protect themselves from outages on the provider's side. And finally, it ends up being more expensive. The basic license is purchased once, but here you have to pay monthly for each user. But apart from that, there are only advantages. Installation and use are significantly easier, all updates happen automatically, and with a good internet connection, the system works very quickly. In my case, there is another significant plus: I can collaborate with colleagues remotely in the same space.

We discovered the advantages of cloud-based 1C during the pandemic. When we switched to remote work, there was a need for access to 1C. It turned out to be very simple: we imported the database, configured the settings, chose the necessary configuration, and paid for the workstations – and work resumed. Over time, this became routine, and now many employees continue to work remotely in this format. There are even certain advantages compared to standard deployment. Firstly, there’s no need for a server and space for backups; secondly, there’s no need for maintenance; and thirdly, everything works significantly faster (for such performance, we would have to seriously invest in computers, which is not affordable). Moreover, there’s no need to pay for a local license. In the end, we are even in the black. As for reliability, the situation is similar. It’s the same 1C, just in the cloud.

It's nice that there are services that allow you to rent software instead of buying it. It is no worse than the one you purchase. All your data is stored in the cloud, so nothing gets lost. The managers are always available, and updates happen automatically. The main thing is to have a good internet connection. I recommend this service!

Registration, personal account, and databases — everything is set up quickly and is easy to learn. If any questions arise, the support service is always ready to help and responds promptly. It doesn't take up space on the hard drive since everything is stored in the cloud. You can work from anywhere with internet access. Moreover, the price is very attractive. And there’s no need to pay for the server and license at all.

It's easy to transfer your data to the cloud and use it from there. You can immediately create reports and manage/transfer them. It's convenient to use remotely.
