Privacy Policy
This Policy explains what data the Sites.Reviews platform collects, how we use, store, and protect it, and what rights you have. By using the site, you agree to this Policy. For users in the EEA and the UK, it is supplemented by our GDPR (Data Processing) notice.
1. What we collect
- Registration data — name, email address, and Telegram ID (when signing in via Telegram).
- Review content — the text, ratings, and images you publish.
- Technical data — IP address, device and browser type, and cookies — for security and site operation.
2. How we use data
Data is used to authenticate you, publish and moderate reviews, protect against spam and manipulation, and improve and secure the service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Sharing
Data may be processed by our contractors (hosting, analytics, email delivery) solely to the extent necessary to operate the platform and under confidentiality terms. We may disclose data where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
4. Storage and security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, alteration, or loss. Data is kept for as long as necessary for the purposes of processing, or until you delete your account, unless the law requires otherwise.
5. Your rights
You may request access to your data, its correction or deletion, and withdraw your consent to processing. You can delete your account and related data in Settings or by contacting us via the Contacts page.
6. Cookies
The site uses cookies for authentication, security, and analytics. You can restrict or disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may become unavailable. See our Cookie Policy for details.
7. Children
The platform is not intended for individuals below the age at which, under the law applicable to them, they may independently use online services and consent to data processing (generally 16). We do not knowingly collect such individuals' data; if we become aware of it, the data will be deleted.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page; we aim to notify users of material changes by available means.
9. Contact
For any data-related questions, contact us via the Contacts page.
Browser Extension
The Sites.Reviews browser extension (Chrome, Edge, Opera, Firefox) sends only the hostname of your active tab (for example, example.com) to our public API to look up its Trust Score. It does not collect full URLs, page content, cookies, browsing history, or personal data; it uses no tracking or analytics and requires no account or key. Data is never sold or used for purposes unrelated to showing a site's score. Source code is open (MIT): https://github.com/SitesReviewsTrust/sites-reviews-extension
