At my previous job, I used the standard version of 1C, and in my current company, we rent the cloud version of this program. Essentially, it's the same system, and functionally they don't differ, as various configurations can be connected. The only difference is in the way it's provided. The regular 1C is installed on a computer, and all data is saved on the hard drive. In the cloud version, data is stored on secure servers and accessed remotely. In fact, this is more secure, despite any doubts. Previously, when there were issues with my PC, I couldn't send reports on time. Now, the program isn't tied to my computer, so I can send reports from any device if problems arise. There's no need to worry about it being an unlicensed version – it's a 100% licensed version from 1C, and there won't be any fines for using it. As for the cost, it depends on the size of the company and planned expenses. Renting may seem expensive, but you also have to pay for a regular license, not to mention the costs for servers. The only downside I see is the need for a constant internet connection. Without it, the program won't work. Also, those with large databases in 1C will need to purchase additional space, as it is limited.
