The meta tag generator builds ready-to-paste code for your page's <head>: title, description, canonical, Open Graph, and Twitter Card. Fill in the fields, copy the result, and paste it into your site. Correct meta tags improve how your page looks in search and when shared on social media.
How to generate meta tags
- Enter the page title and description.
- Add the URL and, optionally, a preview image link (og:image).
- Copy the generated code from the result box and paste it inside
<head>.
What gets generated
- Title — the tab and search-result link heading.
- Description — the snippet text under the heading in search.
- canonical — tells search engines the main address of the page, guarding against duplicates.
- Open Graph — the preview card when shared on Telegram, Facebook, and others.
- Twitter Card — the preview on X (Twitter).
Length recommendations
Aim for a title up to 60 characters and a description up to 160. Check the length with our character counter, and see how the tags already appear on a live page with the meta tags & Open Graph tool.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to add all the tags?
At minimum, title and description. Open Graph and Twitter Card are recommended if the page will be shared on social media. Empty fields are left out of the code.
Is any data sent anywhere?
No. The code is assembled entirely in your browser.
