I decided to create my first blog on this platform to save on paid hosting and domain costs and to gain initial experience in website creation. I don't know how quickly other newcomers master Ucoz, but I found it quite difficult to navigate its functionality. As a result, my website turned out to be clumsy, with many gaps in its structure and errors. I couldn't properly configure individual blocks, add necessary elements, change sections, or make edits to the overall structure. Overall, working with Ucoz turned out to be a real challenge for me. Registration is easy: you immediately set the name of the site and enter other details. When registering on free hosting, it's important to keep in mind that the domain name belongs to the host, which means that if your account gets blocked, you will lose access to your domain. However, an important advantage of free hosting is the ability to connect your paid domain, which will then belong to you. Additionally, free hosting like Ucoz is great for various tests before switching to paid options. Among the significant drawbacks, I would highlight the intrusive ads that Ucoz places on every free site. Although they have a paid option to disable ads, it's clear that not everyone takes advantage of it.

I've been using Ucoz for almost a year, and during this time, I've created numerous warez sites, gaming sites, and construction resources. I don't understand why some people criticize this hosting, as it has no serious drawbacks. I like everything about it, and it's easy and convenient to create any kind of site here. Although it may seem that it's not so and that creating something worthwhile is difficult, I can confidently say that the updated Ucoz has become much better, and most problems have already been resolved. There are mainly difficulties with the servers left, but I hope they will fix those soon as well. For its price, it is more than justified. Beginners should definitely start here and then develop further, but in my opinion, there is no need for that, as the functionality is more than enough. The only thing that might be lacking is disk space, but this issue can be resolved with technical support.

Ah, the good old Ucoz. I think many started with it. I switched from Ucoz to DLE, but even on DLE there are sites with more than 100k unique visitors, although there are not many of them, as the servers often suffer from DDoS attacks, causing them to go down. In the end, there are only about 1000 sites, which is a huge downside of Ucoz. Of course, you can host a site on a separate server, but with such prices, it's not cost-effective. Moreover, you can't create warez sites or torrents, as the site and account will be blocked if you don't respond to complaints, and who needs that — I have no idea. Yes, you can create all sorts of junk and experiment. But with such uptime, the point of working on it is lost, since the site won't progress because search engines react very harshly to this. Although search engines have a decent attitude towards Ucoz, the uptime ruins everything, as one server can host thousands, sometimes even tens of thousands of sites, and the servers are often attacked without any protection being put in place. Yes, there are many templates, and there's enough of everything. Recently, they have been making large-scale changes often. For now, I give it a 4.

Nevertheless, you can connect your own domain, which is rare for free versions of other builders. The created site works quite well, but there are occasional issues with the uptime of "Ucoz" servers. I wouldn't switch to the paid version: the optimal plan that offers the necessary features costs about $8 per month, and it's easier to use third-party hosting and create a site with another builder that allows for migration.

But there is still some nostalgia))) In the end, I used it for a month, spending all that time setting it up, but soon I gave up and switched to learning programming languages. Sitemap and robot.txt are generated correctly. As for the pricing plans, they are quite flexible: if you want to create a website for free, you can choose a limited functionality with a third-level domain and ads, as well as 0.4 GB of disk space. This is a great option for practicing with the builder. If a more serious project is needed, various paid plans are available. The prices are quite reasonable – a good plan will cost about 500 rubles per month.

After creation, the site is under maintenance for a month, which serves as protection against one-day sites. The builder has its drawbacks. There are also banners with rather inappropriate ads (which can be removed for an additional fee). The design can be changed at any time. Using your own domain is allowed. As for the pricing plans, there is a free option, but it is heavily limited in terms of disk space and functionality, suitable only for practice or creating the simplest business cards.
