I have been creating websites on Ucoz for quite a long time. This website builder attracts me with its simplicity and the ability to edit code, as well as its versatility. I used Ucoz for freelancing to create portfolios, blogs, business cards, forums, landing pages, and much more. The possibilities here are truly wide, especially thanks to the modular structure that allows you to add only the necessary elements and remove everything unnecessary. In terms of functionality, Ucoz stands out among most builders. It has user access rights management, standard page editing, numerous modules like news feeds or forums, and much more. You can upload files, embed videos, connect website statistics, and so on. SEO on the free plan is quite limited and primitive, but on the paid plan, optimization and promotion in search engines become a real pleasure. All of this is implemented through an intuitive control panel. The design aspect is more complicated since it is a builder – the templates are quite similar, although there are many of them. It's best to create the design from scratch, ideally also editing the code. Nevertheless, a beginner can get the hang of it in a couple of weeks and significantly modify the templates to create unique websites. There are also paid templates and the option for custom design, but I wouldn't spend money on them. As for the pricing plans, there is a free option, but it is heavily limited in terms of disk space and functionality, suitable only for practice or creating the simplest business cards. The optimal plan costs 8 dollars a month and is suitable for most projects. For small websites, such as business cards or blogs, you can also consider cheaper plans.
