Wax Worms??
Okay I have 3 questions. 1- Today I put a dish in my green anoles cage so i can feed them wax worms. Well I put the worms in the dish and my anoles wont eat them and they should be really hungry. do you think they are just scared of the new thing in their cage? Will they eventually figure out that there is food in it. 2- The wax worms keep getting out of the dish and burying themselves in the substrate (peat moss) what can I do to stop them getting out. 3- what do wax worms eat

A days Plaice fishing
I still think that it`s a little early for plaice, they are being caught, though not in any great numbers. Todays venue was Eastney, I tried this exact spot this time last year with no success. My fishing partner picked up a plaice over 2lbs at this venue just 24 hours before, so there was some hope!

What is the best way to eat SMOKED EEL?
Bought some smoked eel at the weekend and am looking for some suggestions about the best way to eat it.

How much larger is the Colossal Squid than the Giant Squid?
My friends were having an argument about the comparative sizes of the giant and colossal squid. One of my friends says that the size of the colossal squid dwarfs that of the giant squid. Another friend says that the colossal squid is only slightly larger than the giant squid. Who is right on this matter?

don`t know if this will help.BUT when i fish near a dam on the river i can tell if there is a large # of baitfish by the number of gulls/fish eating birds hanging around the area.the more gulls/birds there are the more fish,bait or otherwise,there are.should work for you too.

Leech Lake Opener
By 10 am, when this photo was taken from our deck, many fisherman and woman had caught dozens of walleye. A grey day with one real sprinkle, chilly out on the lake, although the catching made for having a great time. The weather cleared by 5 pm and we are hoping for good weather tomorrow.

I need to know about fishing for mullet?

Are preserved baits any good for fishing?
I am talking about preserved shrimp and shad for catfish.

Very good! I also like salted mackerel or bonito which I used to catch and make myself, but you can buy salted mackerel and anchovies as well. All are good catfish baits. Good luck and I hope you catch a big one, or at the very least several smaller ones!

Shaky Head Worm: How and when do you fish it? Small and Largemouth...?

A shakey head rig is a finesse tactic best used when the bass are inactive, or you have picked off all the active fish using search baits such as spinnerbaits and crankbaits.

To rig a shakey head worm you need only two things. I use and prefer a ball head jig, but other jigs such as a "spot remover" jig or any of your basic stand-up jig heads work great. And two, you need soft plastic worms that have some amount of boyancy to them. I prefer the Strike King 3X worms due to how well they float. The tail on the 3X worm jumps and jives as you twitch it across the bottom. Another type of floating worm would be the Zoom trick worms.

bobbers and rocket bobbers?
i hear bobbers go to a certain depth. i thought bobbers r supposed to float on top of the water to know that i have a bite for bluegill, what do they mean? how should i rig my rocket bobber. should i put it in between 2 split shots to let go of tension? can split shots be used as a bobber stop?
can a bubble also be a slip bobber?

how can i tell how far my fishing lures will dive?
I got some bomber-like lures at an auction the other day and i am trying to figure out how deep they will dive at 1 mph for trolling walleye. They have large bills on them so i assume they will dive deep. Is there any type of equation (example: 1/2 inch of bill for 10 feet of depth) to help me figure this out. I live on lake erie and lure depth can be critical! THANX!

Barger Botetourt Fishing Tour
My good friend Dave Barger invited me on a fishing trip yesterday and God`s beauty was all around us despite the rainy conditions. We headed up 220 North and visited Craig Creek. This was my first view of this little creek and it was absolutely immaculate and crystal clear. I slipped on the waders and was pleased to find a rocky bottom. A slight drizzle came down but it didn`t diminish the thrill of wading a new watering hole. Dave was trying minnows and I was using a #2 Mepps Aglia spinner silver with an orange targeting spot.

In my opinion, yes. No doubt about it.

They may be a status symbol for some, overpriced example of the inflation in the price of fishing tackle to others. Try and throw a couple of these lures in the appropriate places at the appropriate times. Your opinion on whether any lure is worth 15$+ may change quickly.
