Insolvo

I registered on Insolvo at the beginning of the year. I work in text translation (I speak English, German, and French) and a bit of copywriting. Previously, I tried to take orders only on Russian-speaking platforms, but the rates there are very low. So now I work exclusively here. I'll provide the average rates (per 1,000 characters): • Copywriting – $2-2.5 • Translation – $3-3.5. On our platforms, prices are on average 2-2.5 times lower, and that's for experienced accounts. Newbies in copywriting earn only about $0.5 for 1,000 characters. For me, it doesn't matter what language to write in or which language to translate from, so I always have enough assignments. The clients are reasonable, and all requirements are clearly stated in the terms of reference. Deadlines are set with a buffer, which allows me to gradually improve my account rating and take on higher-paying tasks. I haven't encountered any problems with completing the work. I manage to earn $30-50 a day. On Russian platforms, I rarely managed to earn more than 1,000 rubles. Overall, it's all positives. The only downside is that at the beginning you have to pay for a subscription, but it's a small amount, and I already covered it with my first order.

I've been working on Insolvo for about six months, and overall, my impressions are positive. First of all, it's an international freelance platform, so payments are made in dollars at global rates. It was especially great a couple of months ago when the dollar's rise made the conditions simply excellent. Even now, when the exchange rate has returned to previous levels, you can still earn significantly more here than on our local platforms. Secondly, the number of available tasks is much higher. There are projects in various categories, from design to programming. I myself work in design. And finally, the fees are reasonable. The platform takes 10% of the amount paid by the client, and another 5% is lost during withdrawal. I have worked on other platforms where fees reached 20-30%, so the difference is obvious.

Now, about the downsides. There are quite a few, so it's easier to list them:
1) English language. The platform is international, and it is not translated into Russian. The same goes for the tasks. Without knowledge of English, you won't even be able to pass the test.
2) Entrance test. It's quite strange and doesn't provide any real information, but you have to pass it. The test has 4 questions: a) you need to provide the birth year of the author of a famous phrase (I think it was Henry Ford); b) you need to state the Dow Jones index at the opening of trading on a certain day; c) you need to correct a mistake in an English sentence; d) you need to correctly insert a link. The first three questions are easy to find online (the hardest was the index, I searched for a long time), and even a child can handle the link.
3) Subscription. Yes, this is a paid platform, and without paying for a subscription, you won't be able to take on a task. The subscription costs about $7 (if you sign up on the registration day, it's only $5.5). It lasts for a year.
4) Payments only through PayPal. There are no other options. Although clients can top up their balance with a card. In general, it's up to you to decide if it's worth it. I have no problems with English, I passed the test quickly, I bought the subscription (I already had experience with such platforms, it's normal as it protects against spam and students who grab tasks first), and I've been using PayPal for many years.

This is an equivalent of Workzilla, but in English, and the platform is aimed at English-speaking users. However, there is no restriction on posting tasks from Russia. If you have an account on WZ, you can log into Insolvo using it, and you won't have to go through re-verification. For residents of Russia and the CIS, this resource is great for entering the foreign market.

Fraud! There are no filters, everything is in chaos. Clients do not respond, jobs in the queue are not removed. I haven't been able to earn a single penny during all this time. I even offered my services at a 90% discount, but there was no response. Don't fall for the bait; Insolvo primarily profits from your subscriptions, and getting a job is practically impossible. The Insolvo website is a complete failure and a scam.

At first, everything was going great. But when I reached the maximum rating, there were two instances where the payment was refunded to the client after they confirmed the task. And when my account balance exceeded $100, my account was blocked (suspicious activity) and all funds were returned to the client. Real robbers. Be careful! I highly do not recommend this service for use!!

The 5-star reviews are clearly left by people who are unfamiliar with this site and don't understand what's going on here; they seem to be bought. In reality, as mentioned earlier: applications come in, but there aren't many, mostly with a 1-day urgency, however, when you respond, they just stay in the queue of current tasks, I've been waiting for over a week! No one contacts you, and the applications don't disappear from the history. I've noticed that when you take a task, a new similar one is automatically created, but with a different amount (this is built into the script). If you have free time, this site might be suitable for you - you can just keep applying.

No greetings, no responses, all clients have no ratings, meaning it's their first time... All of them without exception. There are similar ones on ***, but their percentage is lower. That's why subscriptions for insolvo are given out for free. The support works excellently, that's the only plus of the service. There's no information about the task duration, the accounts are empty.

This is an international freelancing platform, entirely in English. It is one of the few that is still available for users in Russia. The main advantage of this marketplace is the reasonable payment for freelancers in dollars. For example, the average cost of a copywriter's service on Insolvo ranges from $2 to $3 per thousand characters. In comparison, on a similar Russian-language platform, the payment is 20-40 rubles per thousand characters. Although the platform requires a fee, $7 for an annual subscription doesn't seem like a large amount. Moreover, the investment can be quickly recouped with just 2-3 completed orders. It's nice that beginners can start earning good money right away—there's no need to spend a long time "building up" the account rating; you can just take and complete orders. There are plenty of clients, and you can find projects in writing, design, and development to suit any taste and skill level, so I recommend this marketplace for both newcomers to freelancing and experienced professionals.

I do not recommend it! They just stole my money. First, they demand payment to start using the service, and then, after checking the documents, they refuse and do not return the funds. For clarification, they send you to Workzilla, which ignores you. In general, if you have extra money, time, and nerves, this site is just for you.
