It turned out that this is not quite the 100% protection I was hoping for, as some bots still get through. However, overall I am satisfied; about 90% really gets blocked, and as a result, I am achieving more of my goals. Among the positives, I would highlight the convenient personal account where I can clearly track the statistics on blocks and other useful metrics.

The protection service really helped get rid of the bots that seemed to have been sent by our competitors, as they were constantly clicking on our ads. With the implementation of the protection, the situation improved significantly, and our advertising costs decreased a bit. I was worried that connecting and setting up for Yandex Direct would be complicated, but it turned out to be easier than I thought. They really have effective fraud protection, so I decided to stay after the trial period. With it, advertising became a bit cheaper, although of course I would like to save more. It's nice that everything is set up quite easily; I spent only about 5 minutes on it. On other sites with protection, I read about the settings, and they looked significantly more complicated. So simplicity is probably the most important aspect in this case.

After installing the protection, the situation with bots has significantly improved; it's clear that blocks are happening, which is confirmed not only by reports but also by an increase in conversion and a decrease in lead cost. Overall, BotFaqtor really helps. It's just unclear whether it's possible to completely block all bots without affecting real users, but as I understand it, even this protection is not perfect.

1) Keep in mind that when installing the captcha from "Botfaktor" to block bots, all robots visiting your site have unrestricted access to the page code. This means that a parser can easily collect data when it visits your site, as the blocking mechanism will only activate on a repeat visit, and why would a bot return if it can gather everything in one go? Support suggests using a standard blocking method, such as redirecting to their page or yours, but there's a catch: your site's page loads first, consuming server resources, and only then does the redirect happen. 2) When connecting this anti-bot, a service to reduce the cost of goals in Direct is actively promoted — this raises doubts, but I decided to give it a try, and in the end, the cost of the goal increased (screenshot attached). 3) It's strange that their database does not include the Biteryk and Hertz bots by default, as it's known that many spam bots come from there. 4) There is no option to set blocking rules based on AS NAME, user-agent, etc., meaning you can't define your own rules. 5) There is a lack of detailed statistics (which specific bots were blocked, their numbers, addresses, agents, where they are trying to access) — the system only shows a graph and dry numbers about those blocked. In my opinion, the system works incorrectly — the bot check should be performed before loading the site's content to avoid server load, not after. I don't understand where all the enthusiastic reviews about the service come from and feel that I wasted 10,000. I previously used another service — it accounted for these issues, but due to the site's front end moving to JS, its use became impossible.

I want to share my experience working with Botfactor. By the end of the month, we reduced CPA by about 22%. I liked that the system automatically segments bots: it distinguishes between those who visited our site and those who are already in their global database. As for drawbacks, I can note that the loading speed of the main page has slightly decreased in PageSpeed, but this is not critical for a landing page. I activated protection for ads in Yandex Direct and VK. In the first month, CPA decreased by about 25%, and the number of invalid applications dropped by about 10%. We encountered issues with ad click fraud and inaccurate statistics on our website. We started using the Botfactor service. Pros: affordable price, 7-day free trial, high basic accuracy, and a user-friendly interface. Cons: if a visitor uses an anti-bot, the website loading may slow down a bit. Overall, we are satisfied and will continue to use it.
