Reliable cloud hosting for business.

We have been using Selectel for the cloud infrastructure of our project for a year and a half. The servers work reliably, with minimal downtime. The flexible pricing is great — you can finely tune it to the required specifications. Technical support responds quickly to routine questions. On the downside: there was once an issue with the hardware that wasn't resolved very quickly. In complex, non-standard situations, support can slow down. Prices are slightly above the market average, but the quality and reliability justify it.

Selectel's cloud hosting is excellent for hosting small projects. The costs are low, around 400 rubles per month. Payment is made only for the actual resources used, which is very convenient: in case of downtime, you don't have to pay, allowing for testing without extra expenses. Since my audience is in Russia, the ping remains low. Hosting projects this way is reliable and straightforward. However, for overseas users, the quality of the connection leaves much to be desired. The network operates stably, with no disruptions observed. Reliability is ensured by replicating uploaded data on independent servers: if one fails, the data is automatically copied to others. Scalability is at a high level; you can increase or decrease resources as needed. The data centers are located in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

I use Selectel's cloud storage for two main reasons: high reliability and very low prices. The cost of services depends on the amount of data, and the rate is about 3 rubles per month for 1 gigabyte of stored information. Of course, I am aware that some services offer up to 10 gigabytes for free, and it's not necessary to pay 33 rubles every month, but, firstly, the reliability there leaves much to be desired, while here the data is copied to different servers to prevent loss and ensure constant access. Secondly, access to content from my site is direct. This means I don’t have to leave links to Yandex.Disk or other file-sharing services, the download speed is high, my site doesn’t experience any load, and I don’t waste extra money on hosting materials on other servers. Overall, this is a very cost-effective solution, as exceeding the limit by 1 gigabyte with some providers can cost 100 rubles a month, not 3.

The provider offers excellent conditions for file storage in the cloud. In particular, I can set up caching, including HTTP header options at the container and file levels, as well as set limits on both the storage capacity for my files and the duration of their storage. This feature is useful, but due to the low cost of hosting, I don't see much point in it—it's hard to lose even 80 rubles a month. If I create a public container, I can link a second-level domain to it. The provider also offers the possibility of integrating the cloud storage with Bitrix, although I haven't been able to fully set that up yet. Data protection is at a high level, with encryption done using SSL certificates. I can also set access to a specific container for the necessary users. Overall, everything is multifunctional and convenient.

I regularly order website monitoring. The prices are reasonable, not inflated. The first three checks each month are completely free, and for a pack of five additional metrics, I pay about 150 rubles. In my opinion, the conditions are very favorable. During the monitoring process, the availability of websites is checked. The report that comes in details the server performance, access to ports (TCP/UDP), database status, ping checks, email service functionality, and much more. The report arrives instantly after the check; I have my email set up for notifications, although there is also SMS notification available, but it costs extra (albeit at a symbolic price). The data received allows for an objective assessment of website performance and necessary adjustments. I also used the cloud space from Selectel for a while: storage and virtual private cloud. I have no complaints about the performance of any of the nodes.

The provider offers a wide selection of dedicated servers suitable for various purposes and with different configurations. Additionally, you can successfully find a good option during sales. In this case, servers are offered at a fixed discount or through a Dutch auction principle: the price starts high and gradually decreases, with the first buyer getting the item at the current price. I bought an excellent server with a final discount of 38%. The provider does not impose restrictions on management and placement. The server is mine, and I can manage all resources at my discretion, including installing any software. Also, if you rent a server for a long term, there is an opportunity to receive an additional discount. Installation is free of charge. The network connection speed is 100 Mbps. In two months of operation, there have been no failures, and I am completely satisfied.

I assembled a dedicated server on my own. The provider offers the possibility of flexible configuration that suits almost any requirements. Although the pricing policy of the builder is not the most advantageous, the server is fully adapted to my needs. Interestingly, you can choose right away whether you need a graphics accelerator or if a regular Intel processor is sufficient. There is also the option to install the necessary amount of RAM, a PCIe card, and a disk, including SSDs. In the end, my build cost 11,250 rubles; I paid for a year upfront and received a 15% discount, so the annual maintenance came to 114,000 rubles, which fully meets the stated requirements. The server is located in a good data center, with unlimited traffic and high connection speed, which can be increased to 1 gigabit per second. I have no complaints about its performance; everything works excellently, and the uptime is top-notch. The websites run flawlessly.

I rented an excellent server for just 7560 rubles a month, but that includes a 24% discount. The server has an Intel Xeon L5630 processor with a clock speed of 2.13 GHz, 24 GB of DDR3 RAM, and three one-terabyte hard drives. I chose this company because they are known for their secure data centers. They have reliable DDoS attack protection, quality server maintenance, and high uptime rates. Any issues that arise can be quickly resolved over the phone.

It's been 4 months since I installed DDoS protection on my server, and during this time, there hasn't been a single outage. The bandwidth isn't very high — only 20 megabits per second, but for 9000 rubles a month, it's more than enough for me. It's important that the traffic is cleaned very well; they provide a secure IP where filtering takes place, and I only receive clean traffic. There is protection against flooding, illegitimate TCP flag combinations, and various attacks. This is achieved through a comprehensive set of effective measures, starting with packet filtering and ending with blocking unsuitable traffic. Additionally, in addition to traffic cleaning and protection, tools for load balancing and ensuring fault tolerance are also connected. The protection itself was set up in just 2 days, and I didn't have to worry about configurations — I simply set the secure address as an alias.

I moved all my websites here, and based on my experience, I can say that this hosting is the most reliable of all that I've tried. The sites rarely go down; in a year of use, this happened only once, and it was likely due to my actions in the CMS settings. I haven't found any bugs or vulnerabilities in the control panel; everything works at the highest level. The uptime is excellent, no complaints. They also offer quality protection against DDoS attacks, which is extremely important for servers today. This service is purchased separately, but it's worth the money. I also use cloud storage. The price per gigabyte is very low—just over three rubles. Payment is based on the actual space used in the cloud and outgoing traffic (0.8 rubles/1GB). I haven't noticed any delays in file transfers, and files don't get lost.
