I use it to transition from Instagram to Messenger via the link in my profile bio. It transfers easily and quite quickly — it's convenient, as people don't need to manually enter a phone number, which saves time. I've noticed that many bloggers on Instagram use it to sell their services, link to their courses, and simply for communication in messengers.
