The situation turned out this way: I found a MacBook on the website pn.com.ua, their online store was selling it at a more or less market price of 39,499 UAH. I wrote to online support to confirm if it was available in Kharkiv, if the price was valid, and if I could pick it up today. They replied that it was in stock and I could pick it up. I went directly to their store to buy it, saw it, and the price tag was the same as on their online store, namely 39,499 UAH. I decided to buy it, and then the seller informed me that the price had changed due to fluctuations in the dollar exchange rate, and they had forgotten to update the price tag, so they could only sell it to me for 43,000 UAH. As a result, I returned home and contacted support in the online store, to which they replied that I should have placed an order through their online store. I placed an order through this store and asked if I could come to pick it up. In response, support told me they would call and check availability. After 30 minutes of silence, support replied that the item had already been sold. I immediately understood that they simply did not want to sell it to me at the stated price, so they made up an excuse. I asked a friend who lives near the store to go check if it was still on the shelf, and it turned out it was there and no one had bought it. I demanded that the consultant write down the date and time of the sale, and they noted the time when they were silent for 30 minutes (during that period). But please note that the item was still sitting on the shelf and no one had bought it.
Thus, they are violating the consumer protection law by refusing to sell the item at the stated price. But that's not all; their new price is 43,000 UAH, which is 10% more than the original. The dollar exchange rate the day before the desired purchase, specifically on June 10, 2015, was 21.16929900. On the day of purchase, it was 21.15333000. As we can see, the exchange rate changed roughly by 1.5%, while the price increased by 10%.
I do not recommend buying products from this store, as the prices do not reflect reality and the markups due to exchange rate fluctuations are greater than the fluctuations themselves.
