The main advantage of all Western freelance platforms is the high income. Payments are made in dollars, and considering the current exchange rate, working on such platforms is much more profitable than on domestic ones. However, there are also some challenges. Firstly, you can't do without knowledge of English, and secondly, the competition is quite high. This particular service is global, which makes the competition even tougher. I work in design, creating logos and similar things, and I try not to overprice my services, so I usually take the minimum payment for my work. The platform deducts 1 dollar from this, which is a 20% commission. Thus, from a $5 order, I only get $4. The commission is indeed high, but the income is still significant. Orders are fulfilled as follows: I create an offer called a gig, and for it, I receive $5. They take authorship seriously here, so it's better not to download images from the internet but to take photos yourself, draw (if you have the skills), or order a logo for the service and profile. I promote my offers, receive reviews, and this helps to elevate them in the overall list, attracting more clients. Here, the client chooses the performer, not the other way around, as it happens on tender platforms. Considering the target queries in the search bar, it's important to approach the title and description of the service carefully. The earnings are decent, but they depend on luck. If you promote your offer correctly, it will be ordered frequently. It's better to create several gigs for greater reliability. On average, I develop about 20-30 logos a week across all my offers, and I manage to earn about $400-500 a month, which at the current exchange rate is around 30,000 rubles. As a side job that doesn't require an 8-hour workday in an office, it's an excellent option.
