The idea of using a bot for Instagram came to me due to the monotony of client inquiries and the high activity of the target audience on ads at night. At first, I chose Boss.Direct, but I found out they had some issues with their code, and it was unclear when they would resolve them. Eventually, I stumbled upon SMMBOT, which turned out to be significantly more expensive, but its functionality impressed me (it even surpassed Boss.Direct), so I started setting up my bot. It's worth noting that this took me much longer than the promised five minutes in the chatbot ads, as I planned more complex tasks for the bot than just collecting client phone numbers. When I finished the setup, my more experienced colleague in advertising began to convince me that because of such illegal programs, everything could end badly. I wasn't naive and decided to contact tech support for confirmation of their reliability, asking them to provide accounts that successfully work with their service. To my seemingly simple request, I received a paranoid response: they couldn't provide such information because the logins could be used by competitors to hunt for clients. In other words, the fact that I spent two days setting up a complex bot for a specific service (furniture cleaning in Moscow) made it seem like I could be a malicious hacker for some mythical "competitors." This was unexpected. Nevertheless, I decided to send out messages to 500 direct conversations and wrap up my work with the bot, especially since it sometimes sent auto-messages incorrectly: it was delayed or didn't respond at all. In the mailing settings, I specified the time frame for contacts (from the beginning to the middle of the year), uploaded the text, and clicked "START." In the end, the bot processed only 38 accounts and stopped. This is strange, as there had been many conversations over six months—at least 4-6 people a day. That's about 90 people a month, and even if half of the accounts were deleted, such a number shouldn't have resulted. The response from tech support regarding the low number of "38" didn't clarify the situation and only caused irritation (screenshots attached). In conclusion: 1. The idea of the service is good, and the implementation is too. 2. The functionality is convenient and intuitive. 3. The claimed settings for message sending times do not match reality. 4. The bot sometimes just doesn't work and doesn't respond to commands. 5. Tech support behaves like a closed introvert who doesn't want to explain anything. Overall, I give it a 2 out of 5, as I did receive one application from this unsuccessful mailing.
