For two years after launching the website, we exclusively used contextual advertising, but in recent months, competition has increased, and click costs have started to seriously impact our budget. We began looking for alternative methods and turned to promoting the site through links in search engines. Purchasing links on exchanges did not yield the expected results, and attempts to acquire them through aggregators were also unsuccessful. Then we decided to try crowd marketing: there were no results in the first month, but then the site started to rise in search rankings. Finally, we began to see the first long-awaited clients from search. In the long run, our investment in crowd links should pay off in about five months. I want to note that this promotion method is not cheap, but if you work with a long-term perspective, the cost per visitor will turn out to be significantly lower compared to contextual advertising.
