I have been working in full-stack development using PHP, Python, and JS. For a long time, I was looking for a suitable platform for interesting technical tasks with decent pay, rather than just creating landing pages for pennies. In the end, I decided to seriously focus on my profile on Kwork, and I haven't regretted it. I want to share my recent experience. The other day, I completed two interesting orders that fully compensated for the time spent. The first project involved developing a complex parser in Python using Selenium to collect data from a foreign website. The task was non-trivial, and I had to bypass some protections. The budget was 7,000 rubles, and the client turned out to be quite reasonable and accepted the work without delays. The second order was about integrating a bank payment gateway into a website, costing 4,000 rubles. Everything went smoothly here as well: the technical assignment was clear, and the money was reserved right away.
What I like about Kwork? First of all, security. This is very important: the buyer first tops up their balance with the necessary amount, and only then creates an order. I can see that the client has deposited money, and I can calmly start working. No situations like "do it first, then I'll pay." The audience is also at a good level: there are many entrepreneurs focused on results, and they don't care how it's done. If you can perform quality work, you will have long-term collaborations. The interface is user-friendly, the design is pleasant, everything is intuitive. The chat works well, and file exchange is simple. There is arbitration, but unfortunately, more attention is given to the client, as they initiate the work. If the completed work does not satisfy them, they can claim that the execution does not meet their expectations, which can undermine the seller's efforts, although not always. Overall, the support service is also top-notch; they respond quickly and clearly.
Among the downsides, I note the high competition in simple categories, though this is likely a problem for all freelance marketplaces, so it’s not entirely fair to consider it solely a drawback of Kwork. However, in the niche of scripts, bots, and backend, there are enough orders. The only significant downside is the limitation on the number of responses for sellers: newcomers are given 30 responses per month, but this number increases as the account level grows. Personally, I find this a bit limited, especially at the beginning. Overall, the key is to fill out your profile well and have work samples in your portfolio, as well as to communicate politely. In general, I am very satisfied with the platform. It is excellent for starting, further development, and earning, and it can also become a primary source of orders. I plan to continue developing my account.
