Earnings in 2010-2011 were good, but after the closure of LiveJournal, unfortunately, the opportunities to earn have significantly decreased if you're not a super-famous blogger. And if you are really famous, then a blog isn't that necessary. Currently, you can earn about 1000 rubles a month, but 100 rubles goes to pay for LiveJournal and another 100 for commission.
